Scripture: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” — John 15:1-2
Devotional: In gardening, pruning means cutting away dead or overgrown branches so the plant can grow back healthier. In life, God sometimes cuts away things from our lives too. This might be a bad habit, a toxic mindsets, or a distraction that wastes our time. Losing these things can feel uncomfortable at first. But God does not do this to punish us. He does it to clear space so that better, happier things can grow.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, show me what habits or thoughts I need to drop. Give me the courage to let go of anything that is keeping me from growing. Amen.
