Scripture: “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24-25
Devotional: Hard times are like sudden rainstorms. They happen to everyone. But whether you survive the storm depends on what your life is built on. If you build your life on temporary things like money or popularity, you will crash when trouble hits. But if you build your life on God’s timeless wisdom and love, you will stand totally firm through any storm.
Prayer: Jesus, You are my solid rock. When hard times happen, help me stand firm and calm because my life is rooted safely in Your truth. Amen.
