Scripture: “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:11-13
Devotional: Contentment means being happy with what you have right now, even while you hope for better things in the future. It saves us from the exhausting trap of always wanting more. Take a look around your life today. What do you have right now that you used to pray for in the past? Enjoy the blessings that are already in front of you.
Prayer: Lord, save me from comparing my life to others. Fill my heart with joy and gratitude for the life and blessings I have right now. Amen.
