Scripture: “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:31-32
Devotional: Holding a grudge against someone who hurt you is like carrying a heavy backpack full of rocks everywhere you go. It only tires you out, not the other person. Forgiving someone does not mean that what they did was okay. It just means you are letting go of the anger so it doesn’t ruin your peace. Drop the heavy rocks today.
Prayer: Lord, I choose to forgive the people who have hurt or upset me. I hand them over to You and ask You to heal my heart from all bitterness. Amen.
