blessed are…

• Poor in Spirit:

Lord, keep my heart humble, always recognising my need for you.

• Those Who Mourn:

Comfort me in times of sorrow, and help me comfort others with your love.

• The Meek:

Teach me to walk in meekness, trusting in your strength rather than my own.

• Hunger & Thirst for Righteousness:

Give me a deep hunger for your Word and a thirst for righteousness.

• The Merciful:

Fill my heart with mercy, that I may forgive and love as you do.

• Pure in Heart:

Purify my heart, Lord, that my thoughts and intentions may be pleasing to you.

• The Peacemakers:

Use me as an instrument of peace, bringing reconciliation where there is division.

• The Persecuted:

Strengthen me to stand firm in faith, even when I face trials and opposition.
