#MONDAYRECAPFICB
An introduction to our new series based on the book of Luke.
It will help us to focus our faith and our lives around the center of our faith, Jesus himself.
How Far Would God Go To Save Humanity?
1. He would become one of us.
Luke 2:10-12 CSB
But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped tightly in cloth and lying in a manger.”
2. He would seek us.
Luke 4:18-19 CSB
The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
3. He would teach us.
Luke 19:47-48 CSB
Every day he was teaching in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to kill him, [48] but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people were captivated by what they heard.
4. He would die for us.
Luke 23:46 CSB
And Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” Saying this, he breathed his last.
5. He would prove His resurrection.
Luke 24:6-8 CSB
“He is not here, but he has risen! Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee, saying, ‘It is necessary that the Son of Man be betrayed into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and rise on the third day’?” And they remembered his words.
