Lamentations 3:22-23 ICB
[22] The Lord’s love never ends. His mercies never stop. [23] They are new every morning. Lord, your loyalty is great.
We made mistakes, intentionally or unintentionally. But our God is full of mercy. As it said, his love never ends, and his mercy never stops. So amazing, right?
That is why King David, done many mistakes, particularly in taking a census of all people in Israel and Judah, chose to fall in the hands of God rather than the people. Because He knows that the Lord is merciful. ( 2 Samuel 24:14 ). And true indeed, God did not destroy Israel at that time. He stopped the killing. ( 2 Samuel 24:16 )God’s mercy led King David in repentance and humility. Even he didn’t offer sacrifices to God that didn’t cost him nothing.
God demonstrated his mercy on us now through his Son Jesus. We are forgiven and restored. Today, we may have a day that demonstrates God’s mercy by living a life of humility. No matter how it costs us, we will obey and submit to God.
Praise God for his mercy every day.
His mercy is great.
