Matthew 13:23 NLT
[23] The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

The owner of our summerhouse has a field that is in front of our terrace. They didn’t plant it with wheat or rice or corn but grass. Various kind of grass. At first, I was confused. How could it be that they waste productive land. Later on, I found out that the grass is for the horses. They make hay for horses.

Since it is summer now the weather is very hot. So the owner sprinkled water on the grass for a week for the whole time. It’s non-stop. So the soil is still moist and good. The grass didn’t die, and it grows taller and greeny.

And I am  amazed how he take good care of the fields of grass though  it won’t give them food but for the animals. So I realize how much more I  take good care of my heart, the soil for God’s word. Of my life, the Temple of God.

Once again, a reminder for me that though I am Christian now, receiving many blessings from God. I can do other things that do not align with God and the same time serving Him. I bet I  will soon become dried  and unhealthy soil. I will soon have a heart that is not pure and divided. Cannot bring a good harvest.

God remind me of being a good  and productive believer in Jesus now. A good soil who has produce well. Doesn’t mean that I or we don’t need to continue to work out, to persevere and to stand firm of what we  heard and believe from the beginning of our  faith. But to continue  water our heart of his Word, of his very presence. Allowing the Holy Spirit to reign in us and through us to bring glory to God

Today, I’m thankful to God for always reminding me  who is in everything I see and experienced.  He wants me to have an undivided heart. To maintain the pure and good heart . He wants me to continuously  grow healthy  and produce fruits that give glory to Him in spite and despite what season I am right now and where I am right now.
