John 16:32 CSB
[32] Indeed, an hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
Reflection:
On my vacation, I saw beautiful landscapes and how wonderful it is to just observe God’s creation and wonders. In there, I also met my fellow countrymen. While listening to their stories, I sensed a deep longing of sadness within them. They have everything; their place is abundant and rich, but their hearts are empty. They keep working just to cover up their loneliness and longing for the right company and person to fill the space that is missing.
And this question arises: Why are we empty even though we have everything?
Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you for your mercy and goodness every day. Today, God, we pray for those people who are in deep depression and misery, asking you to come to them and comfort them. They don’t have to feel alone because you are with them. This I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen!
