Matthew 11:28-30 ERV
[28] “Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you a rest. [29] Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. [30] Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.



Hotels and lodging are for sure fully booked. Airport and terminals are the busiest place right now because of summer vacation. Not all but at least in some  European countries. Most people  are so excited to have good and relaxing days.

Taking days or weeks off for vacation is not bad. Especially if you have it with your family and friends. Having a full time jobs, personal or  family  concerns,  and with this hot weather,  you would likely stay in the pool or on the beach , take a deep breath, enjoy and rest.

But the Lord  Jesus is talking about ” special rest.” A rest for your mind, heart, and soul. To those who are tired of carrying the burden of sin and the heavy loads of fleshly desire, he will embrace you widely as you come to Him and he will give you rest of that burden and loads. Because He is God, He is the Lamb of God  who took away the sins of the world( John 1:29 ). He is peace, and He is the Lord of the Sabbath ( Matthew 12:8 )

Do you want to be well rested and not exhausted every day?  Take his commands for a new way of purposeful life, and don’t be afraid, for it is easy and bearable. And the Lord  Jesus is so gentle and humble to help you carry it through.
