Psalms 90:12 CSB
[12] Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
Yesterday, my friend and I were talking about how fast the days are passing. While I was in a shop, I overheard them discussing our recent days. They talked about how bad our world is because of the things that are happening around us: climate change, war, famine, and immorality. Indeed, it’s true. What is happening around us is already a warning that we should live wisely.
The phrase “see you later” or “tomorrow” cannot guarantee that we will still see each other. So, I encourage us to seek God’s wisdom so that He will guide us to live righteously while we still have life.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for another day that you have given to us. Thank you for another chance that you give us so that we may be able to serve our purpose. May you teach us to number our days in a way that we will not waste them but use them for your glory. Help us to enjoy and balance life, not being overwhelmed by our work but living it wisely.
We praise you, God, for your unending grace and mercy to us. This we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
