[13]  “You are the salt of the earth.



Yesterday, as we drove home.  Me and my boss was talking about sea salt. He said  that sea salt can heal scratch or soares. I was reminded of what Jesus said, ” we are the salt of the earth.”

Salt is rich in minerals, and sea salt water also helps heal some wounds and reduce some inflammation. But have you noticed  some of the salt that you’ve bought in the store? They are not salty or less salty, right?  Or its saltiness is not the same as  others. Because it is not pure salt. It is mixed with other substances. Salt gives flavor to foods and  also as preservatives. There are more uses and benefits of salt.

Same as to us, Son and daughters of God and co-heirs with Christ.  We are the salt of the earth,we are to bring changes and flavor as Jesus refers us to become. As a community and as an individual, we are to  put flavors in our words with the word of God. To bring encouragement, healing, peace, and  especially to bring the gospel of salvation wherever we are. But before we can season and lead people to Jesus, we must obtain our  pure saltiness.  We must keep holy and set apart . Not conforming to the ways of the world.Because, as Jesus said in his word, Matthew 5:13 ICB
[13] “But if the salt loses its salty taste, it cannot be made salty again. It is good for nothing. It must be thrown out for people to walk on.

If we looses our saltiness or if we looses our purity, our whole hearted devotion to God. We are of no use in his Kingdom.

Let us once  again be reminded to  keep our saltiness clear and pure. No stain from worldly desires. Jesus has already cleaned us.

Heavenly Father,  Holy and Righteous
Thank you for this new day.
May you renew our strength and put a new desire in our hearts. And that is to conform into the likeness of Jesus and  not of this world. For us to be used mightily for your glory and honor. In Jesus’s name. AMEN
