Matthew 17:20 NIV
[20] He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
In the summerhouse where we stayed, I can see the view of greeny and rocky mountains. And it came up to my mind of how could a faith like mustard seed can uproot it? I’m not talking literally but spiritually.
One of the many examples of this faith is the centurion, which had a sick servant. In Matthew 8:5-8 NIV
[5] When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. [6] “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” [7] Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” [8] The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Indeed, his servant was healed. What an amazing faith he had. Even the Lord Jesus was amazed by his great faith.
Reflection:
Nothing is impossible for us to do the things that please the Lord. It’s either for our personal circumstances or to help others in need. Let us have an undivided faith to God . A faith that doesn’t have any doubt of what God can do to us and through us.
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, thank you for the love and forgiveness.
Help us, oh Lord, to have an undivided faith in you no matter what our situation is . So that in the time that you will come, you will find faith on earth. In Jesus’s name. AMEN
