James 1:17 CSB
[17] Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Reflection:
As I ponder and observe our world, we as humans cling to the belief that if something good happens, it is from God. If bad things occur, we blame God and question Him.
Why is this so? Why do we forget God when there is comfort?
Dear Church, everything around us is from God: the earth we live in, the food that we eat, and the jobs that we have. May we always praise God, whatever season we are in.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being our provider and the source of what we have and where we are at this time, whether it is an unpleasant or pleasant situation. Forgive us for sometimes being blinded and lost when we are overwhelmed. Help us not to forget that everything comes from You. We give back all glory and praise to You, Lord. This we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen!
