John 7:37 ICB
[37] On that day Jesus stood up and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
In the small town of Baga in where we stay for summer. There is an old drinking fountain situated in the public market .The water never stops flowing in the day and perhaps also in the night.
In this hot weather right now, normally we get thirsty very quickly. So most people, including me, stop by to drink and some fill in their empty bottles. The water is cold and very refreshing. It satisfied our thirst, and it is free.
To those who will come to Christ, accept Him as Lord and Savior. Thirst will be quench. Dryness and emptiness will be gone. Become a new creation. For Jesus is the living water, the source of life, the eternal life.
And to my brothers and sisters, whether we are experiencing dryness and losing joy in our walk or not. Jesus is always inviting each of us to come to Him. To commune and be in his presence. To always remain in Him. He is the one who can renew and revive us. Without Him, we can’t continue and be steadfast. Let us not forget and not even decline his invitation.
For as much as we need water every day to satisfy our thirst. How much more our need of Jesus, the living water who can only satisfy our soul.
Come and be filled!
John 4:14 ICB
[14] But whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty again. The water I give will become a spring of water flowing inside him. It will give him eternal life.”
John 15:6 ICB
[6] If anyone does not remain in me, then he is like a branch that is thrown away. That branch dies. People pick up dead branches, throw them into the fire, and burn them.
Prayer:
Loving God, thank you the gift of life today.
Thank you for the rest. Remind us always to come to you and dwell in your presence.
Honor and glory belong to you alone. In Jesus’s name. AMEN
