Acts 1:8 CSB
[8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The promise of Jesus is in this passage is a mind blowing. Take note of the power that will come to every believer who will become witnesses of Jesus in this earth.

This power is not just any power, but this is from the Holy Spirit.
Which can do the impossible.

Do you believe in the power of the Holy Spirit?  For sure, you and I will say ” I do ”


Looking back in the life of the Apostles. I see that  true manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit in them is not seeing them doing what they are doing good but them being good, become like Jesus. Denied themselves and carried their cross.

For many will do good for selfish motives and say good for the sake of human praises, but not all become like Jesus.

In the story of the rich young man, Mark 10:18. Jesus said that no one is good, only God. So, being good does not come from man  but from God. Through the  power of the Holy Spirit, we become good in a daily process. We become like Jesus, that is the works of the power of the Holy Spirit in us and through us.

In my understanding, to become a witness  is not only  by doing  good nor by saying good but  by becoming  like Him. Denying ourselves and carrying our cross daily.

How does the Holy Spirit change you?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, the giver of life.
Thank you for sufficient power through your Holy Spirit  that gives us strength  to say no to any kind of temptation. And the miracle power that changes us inwardly .
Remind us, oh Lord when the time we forget who you are and what you can do in us and through us. And help us, oh Lord, not to abuse your sufficient grace and not neglect the truth of words. In Jesus’s name. AMEN
