Isaiah 28:16 CSB
[16] Therefore the Lord God said: “Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.
Looking back to my house before, no matter how many storms and earthquakes had passed. It is still standing and has no damage. Because it has a strong foundation. Same as our faith. Our spiritual life. We should have a sure foundation.
In context of this passage, God speaks to the scoffers and boasters of Judah, and He promises to send the cornerstone—His precious Son, Jesus —who will provide the firm foundation for their lives, if they would but trust in Him.
Jesus is our chief cornerstone of our faith. A tested and a sure foundation. Every life that is built and aligned with Jesus will never be shaken.
It is my encouragement today that we reflect and ask, is Jesus the true foundation of my life?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your sustaining grace every day.
Thank you for all the provision and protection.
Help us, oh Lord, in every season of our life.
In Jesus’s name. AMEN
