Luke 21:34-36 ERV
[34] “Be careful not to spend your time having parties and getting drunk or worrying about this life. If you do that, you won’t be able to think straight, and the end might come when you are not ready.
[35] It will come as a surprise to everyone on earth.
[36] So be ready all the time. Pray that you will be able to get through all these things that will happen and stand safe before the Son of Man.”
As it says in the verse, “Be Ready,” which means always be on guard wherever you are. Do not be comfortable with what this world can offer. You may say, “I am already saved and I can resist temptation,” but no! For the enemy is watching as well. A small opening or hole, and he will use it.
So, we must be ready and always fight everything with prayers. For prayers can be our shield against the attacks of the enemy. And before attacks or temptations come, we are already covered by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for being our strength when we are weak, our guide when we are lost, and our light when we are in the dark. Forgive us for our trespasses and help us when times are tough for us. God, I fully entrust our days and life to you. May you always cover us with your protection. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen!
