Hope of Resurrection

‭Hosea 13:14 NIV‬
[14] “I will deliver this people from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction?

Talking about death, many people often avoid  it.This is the reality that most don’t want to face. Apostle  James says in his letter that life here on earth is a like vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away ( James 4:14 ). Death is bound to happen in every person at any time.

In this verse, Hosea said  an amazing declaration  of God’s  power  over death. He vision  it as one final act of grace. In 1 Corinthians 15:54-55 Apostles Paul recall again this promise of God to remind and encourage the followers of Christ that there is hope and life after death. He stated that we will not all die, but we will all be changed. It will only take a second. We will be changed as quickly as eye blinks (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

As Christian, we grieve when death comes, especially to our loved ones, but fear should not consume us.  Sin and death won’t  have a final victory. But  thanks be to God, He gives us the victory  through our Lord Jesus Christ.

‘ Death has been swallowed up in victory’

Revelation 21:4 ICB
[4] He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain. All the old ways are gone.”

May this hope of resurrection give assurance  that will  empower all believers to stand firm and be  unshakeable in their faith in Christ, whatever circumstances.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, our Redeemer
Thank you for the hope of resurrection through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.
Help us, oh Lord, to live humbly and be used mightily for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
