“When I got there, I was astonished to see an enormous number of trees on each side of the river. He said, “This water flows east, down to the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. As it flows into the stagnant waters, that water becomes fresh water. Wherever the river flows, all living creatures will live and thrive. Schools of fish will be very plentiful, for wherever the river goes, it brings healing, and everything will come alive!”
Ezekiel 47:7-9
The Lord, represented by the rivers of life, ensures that all living things and trees planted by the river will remain fresh, green, fruitful, and healthy. They will not wither nor dry up. Even those on the brink of death will come back to life.
What a beautiful promise and a great reminder for us today to remain in God.
Ezekiel 47:12 NIV
[12] Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”
🙏 Dear Lord, thank you for reminding us of Your faithfulness and provision. Just as the rivers of life keep all living things fresh and fruitful, may Your love and care sustain us. Help us to remain rooted in You, so that we may flourish and bring life to those around us. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 🌿
