Based on the preaching: The Coming of the Kingdom
■ Being watchful is crucial in becoming a true disciple of the coming kingdom. As it is written in Matthew 24:44, “You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” Stay alert, be clearheaded, and avoid being caught off guard. (1 Thessa 5:6)
■ Being wise is another key aspect. In Matthew 25:1-13, we are reminded of the importance of preparing our minds for action and setting our hope fully on the grace that will be revealed with the coming of Jesus Christ, as stated in 1 Peter 1:13.
■ Being willing to utilize the gifts given to you is essential. Each of us possesses different gifts, and it is vital to use them for the greater good. As mentioned in Romans 12:6-8, whether your gift is in prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, or showing mercy, do so diligently and cheerfully.
■ Being worthy is a fundamental aspect of becoming a true disciple. In Matthew 25:31-46, the significance of living a life aligned with the teachings of Jesus is emphasized. Showing kindness, compassion, and serving others in need are key elements of worthiness in the eyes of the kingdom.
As we journey on the path of discipleship, may we embrace watchfulness, wisdom, willingness, and worthiness as integral aspects of our walk with Christ, eagerly anticipating His return and eagerly living out His kingdom principles in our daily lives.
