When we consider how we are to treat one another as fellow citizens of the kingdom, let us take inspiration in the words of Jesus in
📖 John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”
As followers of Christ, we are called to take up the responsibility of being our brother’s keeper. Just as the Good Samaritan went out of his way to help a stranger in need, we too are called to care for one another, to support, encourage, and uplift one another in love.
Matthew 18:12-13: 12 “What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying? 13 If it turns out that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
BE YOUR BROTHER’S KEEPER.
Can you think of someone whom you think you will take the responsibility of being their keeper?
🙏 Dear Lord, help us to embrace the responsibility of being our brother’s keeper. Give us the strength and compassion to love one another as You have loved us. May our actions and words reflect Your love, so that others may see You shining through us. May our actions bring glory to You, Lord, as we strive to be faithful in showing love and kindness to all. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
