Before the holy week, I suffered from insomnia to the point where 2 days I hadn’t slept.
I panicked because I was not familiar with the feeling, and I didn’t have any clue as to what to do.
I even went to the emergency to seek help and they told me that I suffered from minor anxiety.
But I thank God for giving me wisdom on what to do and I believe it is He who touches the hearts of my employers who have been so good to me throughout my battles.
God’s words in Romans 8:31-39 were so helpful to me.
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
36 As it is written:
“For your sake, we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His words made me strong enough and confident to fight my sleeping problems. I was reminded that Jesus suffered more than I did.
God impressed me with some reminders that helped me overcome my struggle and I want to share them with you too.
1. We need to walk with God in confidence and assurance.
2. We always must declare His name in everything.
3. We ask God to renew our hearts and minds every day.
4. We can always pray to the Lord to help us overcome every attack of the enemy.
5. We must rebuke anything that doesn’t come from the Lord as soon as possible.
6. We lift the name of the Lord always!
7. We have to remember that we are given the authority to cast out in Jesus’ name.
As said in Luke 10:19: 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
God gives us every reason to be confident not in ourselves but in our salvation from the sovereign Lord through Jesus Christ.
