Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

“Pay it forward.”

A message I received from someone who chose to be unknown so Christ’s name would be made known. It was an unforgettable kindness I experienced a long time ago in my great need.

Since then I keep it in my heart the love of God through that someone. My gratitude moved me and whenever I have the opportunity, I hope to repay this kindness.

But how? It was God who moved this person that I was able to receive God’s love for me and answered my prayers. I may not be able to pay back God nor this neighbor directly but just like this loving instrument of God, He taught me to pay him back by doing the same thing he did to me to those around me.

We are familiar with and also agree that we love because he first loved us. And we show our love to God by the way how we love one another.

It is one thing to say it but it proved true when we live on it.

No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.

God’s love never fails in us. How he has been to us is what God requires from us. Let’s pay it forward and be someone God can use to express his love.
