In Proverbs 27:1 TPT
[1] Never brag about the plans you have for tomorrow, for you don’t have a clue what tomorrow may bring to you.
The truth is, our days are numbered.
But on the brighter side, we are blessed that God has been giving us a unique story to live even in a short period. Each of us.
And we are given the responsibility of how to live out that story.
We can have joyful celebrations, moments of success, and precious memories with loved ones. But along with the joys, we also acknowledge the struggles, the tears we shed, and the challenges we faced.
It is given.
It is in these moments, it is in the way we live, that we have the opportunity to make a difference, to leave a lasting impact on those around us.
Truly, we have no control over the day of our birth and the day we die, but between those two dates, we have the accountability to God about what we choose to do.
So, how are we now?
What are we doing within that dash that separates our birth and death?
Are we shining the light of Christ in a world desperate for hope?
Are we being a testament to God’s grace and mercy?
Are we spending our days in faithful devotion to God?
Or are we in pursuit of worldly desires and satisfying ourselves with what this world can offer?
It is very important that we should consider living our in-between not only thinking about our time here on Earth but most of all, keeping in mind that we have an eternal destiny. And that is what matters the most.
May we let our dash be filled with acts of love, kindness, and compassion towards others, reflecting the selfless nature of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Because, if we can truly understand how Jesus lived his life on earth, we would be humbled and we would be questioning all our actions these days.
We cannot do exactly how Jesus did it because His capacities are beyond ours but we can imitate. We can follow his examples with the grace of God because the God who equipped Jesus before remains the same God who equipped us today.
May we be living our in-between as a testimony of the love and grace of God towards us, magnifying His glory through our actions, and inspiring others to do the same.
So, check up, and assess. It’s never too late to realign our lives.
What if, in all our remaining days, we will spend it praising the God who is alive in us?
Let this be a reminder to us to live our in-between intentionally, investing every moment that we can to please our God in heaven, knowing that our future is in His hands and that this world is not our home.
