Psalms 27:13-14 NIV‬‬
[13] I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. [14] Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

When we read through the life of David, we know that He was a man who greatly loved and trusted God.

A man after God’s own heart yet not perfect. He also sinned and received forgiveness. He experienced God’s deliverance, protection, and provision in every situation as He called upon the Lord. He knew and believed that the Lord was good. And confidently said that He would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and encouraged them to wait upon the Lord.

As believers living in this fallen world, we witness pain and suffering, injustice, and natural disasters strike from time to time that cause many casualties. And we experience many difficulties either from our mistakes or not. Surrounded by this, our God never fails to help us day by day. 

We heard testimonies of answered prayers, healing, restoration and reconciliation, provision and deliverance. A changed life.

While waiting for the Lord, let us continue to take heart in prayer and have genuine faith in God. For surely, like David, we will also see God’s goodness in the lives of the people we pray for and confidently in our lives as well. For the Lord is our light and our salvation. He is our stronghold.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we adore and praise your name Oh Lord. We thank you for the loving kindness that you lavish on us.  Help us that we will continue to trust and wait upon your perfect timing. Renew our mind and strength as we surrender and obey you.  In Jesus’ name. AMEN!
