A bold statement of faith that “even if, God is.”
The Bible tells us a story of Daniel and His friends to learn from. They were facing a crucial decision to choose to worship God or the king. The power of their choice saved their lives as they declared their faith in
Daniel 3:17-18 NIV,
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Life or Death they choose God to worship and no one else. And the story ended in them being tied up and thrown in the fiery furnace (7 times hotter than usual) and God delivered them safely, smoke-free, and with company. (v.25)
God himself walked them out of their situation. Through their choice, the king and the people believed and worshipped God. Just like Daniel and His friends, may we choose to experience God’s power in every choice we make.
Choose to be kind when most are not.
Choose to love when hate is found.
Choose to commit while everyone compromises.
Choose to forgive even when not asked.
Choose to look up when life weighs us down.
Choose to trust God when fear is around.
Choose to encourage even if you feel down.
Choose to find the truth when lies are all around.
Choose to hold on when most are giving up.
Choose to be the light in darkness alike.
And the list of choices we got and you can fill in that will lead us to His heart.
Keep choosing to believe in God no matter what. And let us turn our what if into EVEN IF.
