Prayer is more than just asking something from God. Prayer is hosting His presence, inviting His glory to come down and consume the place where we meet Him.
Like Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:1-2 after he had prayed, fire from heaven came down and consumed the burnt offerings, and God’s glory filled the place.
A posture of reverence, humility, and obedience will always lead us into a powerful encounter of His presence.
2 Things to encourage us when we pray
1. Remember who God is when you enter in prayer
2. Be ready to be filled with His presence
As we continue to cry out and lift our voices, God hears us and will meet us where we are.
🙏 Heavenly Father, help us to always have this heart that reveres you as we come into your presence
through prayer. We continue to commit ourselves into an intimate communion with you. Thank you for You are the source of everything. We lay down our hearts and lives to you. Be the center of it all. In Jesus’ name, amen.
