1 John 3:18
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
Did someone ever say “I love you” to you but did things which showed the opposite?
Maybe! Usually, it’s too easy for us to utter words of love but too difficult to show it. We tend to be so great in talking rather than in acting what we’re saying.
Actions speak louder than words, they said. And that one is true!
There are so many things you don’t need to say. You only need to make others feel. And it’s gonna be more sincere and memorable for them.
So, the next time you tell someone you love them, remember to mean what you say by doing things to show it.
Like Jesus, remember how little he has said compared to how big he has done.
Dear God, thank you for giving us integrity to do what we say we will do. And if ever we fail, thank you because you will understand and give us a room to make it for you or for others. May we practice living a life that talks less and does more good things.
We acknowledge your greatest act of love for us when you sacrifice your own son for our salvation.
May we also love people not only by our words, Lord but even more by our actions.
In Jesus’ name, whose love is so great, who even died for our freedom, we pray. Amen!
