Imagine the time of Noah when he built the ark. People must see him working on it every day of His life. He might be looking funny and weird to build such a big boat in the middle of a dry land.
People surely heard and knew WHY but only Noah believed and kept going regardless of the reaction around him.
It must cost him a lot to build it but He chose to trust what God said.
Going to the story (you can also read in Genesis chapter 7), God saw the wickedness on earth and was about to bring a flood to wash it all away but He found one man righteous in His sight. He commanded Him to build an ark to save him and his family for the coming judgement on earth. And Noah did everything that God said. God saved Noah by making them enter the ark. Noah and His family obeyed God and was saved from the flood
Learning from this story, may we not also settle in seeing, hearing and knowing about the Ark but we may step in faith to enter in and bring our loved ones with us just like Noah. As for us now, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us from his coming judgement on earth. He is the new ark our father provided for all of us.
We might not have literally been asked to build an ark but we are told in the bible to build our life in Jesus. We do it through our family, work, church, lifelines, ministries and some events and meetings for God’s purpose.
It is a costly and sacrificial kind of life but this is a kind of investment that will last forever. Despite knowing this truth, we still find ourselves at times asking if our life really makes sense.
Everybody else is building something for themselves in this world and we are tempted sometimes to do the same. Jesus knew about it, and that is why He promised to add to our lives all the things that we needed as we build our lives in Him.
(Matthew 6:33) We might not understand everything at the moment but one day it will all make sense.
The key for us is to ENTER in our relationship with Jesus and OBEY everything that He commanded to us.
This is the promise in Acts16:30-31 NLT:
Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
In Jesus’ Name we are protected, provided and continually saved.
Whoever hides in Him is safe from anything going on and coming into this world. Danger is all around, let’s encourage each other to stay safe in God’s presence. Beware of leaving God’s presence to build your own plans and dreams. Let’s come to Jesus and build the kind of life He called us to be, we and our household. 🙏
