Filadelfia International Church Barcelona celebrated 6th year anniversary with the theme: Unwavering Faith.

6 years ago, two brave and spirit-led souls of Yohlane and Genelyn, founded Filipino Christian Church Barcelona with the mission to spread God’s word.
6 years later, the church grew in number as it keeps on reaching out people to help them know more about Jesus. It was eventually named officially as FILADELFIA INTERNATIONAL CHURCH BARCELONA, with the same mission, to love God and to love people.
September 19, 2021, it’s the day the Lord has made. The FCCB which was launched as FICB, celebrated it’s 6th anniversary at Aquarella Music Restaurant.
The event started with a devotion led by Pastor John Angeles, the main pastor of FICB from FIC Oslo followed by a rehearsal and dry run of the venue by everyone involved in the program. This was necessary to provide the attendees a smooth and organized flow of events.
The Multimedia and Sounds ministry started the countdown at 10:55 and at exactly 11:00 am, the Music Team, with the leading of the holy spirit, lead the praise and worship for the whole congregation. And thanks God for sustaining them with confidence.
The service was blessed with a powerful and moving opening prayer of Gladys Amantillo. Followed by the lively and well executed welcoming of Michelle Rodriguez which gave everyone in the venue a feeling of belongingness.
After the announcements, the Creative Arts ministry offered to God their talents as they perform a skit and a dance number.
Right after the dance, everyone became emotional when Rhadel Lusica, shared her encouraging life testimony of how God has showed His faithfulness in every challenges she faced for the last few months. We had witnessed how her faith kept her standing despite the series of unfortunate events that happened in her life.
God, as always, will turn your tests into a testimony!
The highlight of the event was hearing the word of God delivered by our Pastor, who in his preaching reminded us of what Unwavering Faith is all about through the story of Abraham’s faithfulness.
- Unwavering faith obeys God’s call even if you don’t fully get it.
- Unwavering faith believes God’s promises even if it’s against all odds.
- Unwavering faith grows and brings glory to God.
The service ended with an altar call, a closing prayer and finally a celebration song.
And after the service, everybody were asked to remain seated for the fellowship and lunch.
And while Pearl, the emcee for the fellowship, took the stage and began entertaining the attendees, the Kitchen Ministry, were already at the back busy preparing and giving meals to everyone. As always, ready to serve! They were assisted by the Ushers.
During the fellowship, Jovylyn and Michelle entertained the guests with a song offering. And the venue was filled with laughter and fun with the dance presentation of Chelz’ and Yohlane’s lifeline respectively.
And of course, the fellowship would not be complete without pictures taken.
We would like to give thanks to our Pastor John Arnold Angeles and his better half, Ate Irene. Thank you for spending your time with us and for allowing yourselves to be used by God.
We also give credits to the Program Team for without them, the event wouldn’t be as organized as it was.
To all the staffs, (Genelyn, Yohlane, Hazel, Cristina and Geffrey) all the leaders and ministry heads, thank you and congratulations for a job well done.
The whole service went calm and under control, thanks to the Kids Ministry who took care of the little ones so their parents and even the rest of the congregation can focus on listening to the word of God.
We have seen every ministries went hand in hand to perform their tasks to the best of their abilities. Currently, FICB has 9 ministries: The Music Team, The Kids Ministry, The Intercessory Team, The Kitchen Ministry, The Creative Arts Ministry, The Publishing Ministry, The Program Team, The Sounds and Multimedia Ministry and The Ushering Ministry.
We would also like to appreciate the efforts rendered by our volunteers and the presence of each attendees who celebrated with us.
Indeed, we are all parts of the whole body of Christ.
Performing specific tasks to give honor and glory to our great God.
Thank you Lord for sustaining us with unwavering faith.
We will lay FICB in your hands for we know and we believe, You, who promised is faithful!
We will say “thank you” and “goodbye” to FCCB and “welcome” to FICB.
May we all continue to love God and love people.
